DESCRIPTION:
There is hardly a better way to get around the area of the National Park Krka River then cycling. This biking route will lead you through Croatian history while enjoying a landscape of forests, hills and monuments. Our first destination is the famous 44-meters high Skradinski Buk waterfall. Fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls make it a perfect swimming area. After a short sightseeing tour we will bike to the shores of Visovac Lake. After sightseeing the monastery and the museum the boat will take you back to the shore to continue our biking tour. Before finishing our cycling day we will make a short swimming break on a beautiful beach in the upper part of the National park Krka River. Continuing back to Skradin, we have a magnificent ride downhill with a panoramic view of the Prokljan Lake and the town of Skradin.

Basic cycling experience is needed. Children from 12 years of age and older, accompanied by parents, can participate. We use professional KONA bicycles, and each group gets a trained guide. You will get a helmet, a bicycle and safety instructions. Extra gear and tools are provided. Shorts or a bathing suit, a T-shirt and sport shoes are all you need to wear. Don't forget your sun cream, water and picnic.

Skradin is a unique town hidden in the Krka River estuary, 80 kilometers from Split, on the very edge of the Krka National Park. If you plan to spend your vacation in Croatia you will find a wide range of holiday possibilities, but if you search for something more extreme this is the trip for you, you can stop searching.

This activity program is a well-balanced mixture of activity, rafting, kayaking, trekking and cycling included within nature and culture. Your days will be filled with hiking, cycling, kayaking down most beautiful sceneries and through rapids of exotic river canyons and rafting through jungle-like forests.

Trips are designed for flexible, energetic people who like to be active and have a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude. Our daily program is a combination of kayaking, walking, swimming, sightseeing and exploring. You can expect to paddle about 10 miles a day (four hours), but our schedule is very weather dependent. Previous kayaking experience is recommended, but not required. There’s mostly the option of jumping in the support van if you’re tired while cycling.

DESCRIPTION:
The day of kayaking on the Krka River and Prokljan Lake starts on the beach in Skradin. After a short introduction to paddling, we start our expedition. We will paddle across the Prokljan Lake to the beach in Bilice. The water here is brackish – mixed fresh and saltwater, which is the reason for abundant life under the surface. Eels and mussels make a favourite gourmet specialty that can be found in local restaurants. On our way back we will again stop several times for a swim before finishing up our kayaking day.

No previous kayaking experience is needed and even children from 6 years of age, accompanied by parents, can participate. We use two-person sit-on-top kayaks which are easy and safe to navigate. You will get a life jacket and a paddle, plus one dry bag per boat for your personal items (cameras, drinks, etc.). Don’t forget to bring shorts or a bathing suit, a T-shirt, spare clothes, a towel, sun cream, water and picnic. In case of colder weather take a long-sleeved shirt.

Croatian moutaineering society Dinara was founded for initiating and organizing activities for the protection and enhancement of the mountain nature and the environment; the development of physical activities that are performed in order to improve health and fitness; organizing trips, campaigns, tours, meetings, lands, expeditions, camping and hiking competitions and other hiking events; organization of construction, design, marking, storage and maintenance of hiking trails and connecting roads; participation in competitive sports (orienteering and climbing), etc.
At the foot of the Dinara (the highest peak of Croatia, Dinara 1831 m / nm) there is a mountain house Brezovac (1050 m / nm) in a beautiful beech forest, with a capacity of 50 beds and kitchen. The house is completely renovated and equipped with new furniture. It is open for visitors and hikers every weekend and according to the announcement.

The fortress was built in the 9th century, during the formation of Croatian state. Some Croatian kings were occasionaly in Knin, while King Dmitar Zvonimir was constantly. The fortress is divided into 5 parts which are all conected. The fortress is situated at 345 meters above sea level and at an altitude of 100 meters above the town of Knin, and is 470 meters long. Beside the massive walls, visitors have the opportunity to visit the Knin Museum , the Church of St . Barbara , ethnographic , cultural-historical and archaeological collection.
23. Knin Spring of river Krka
DESCRIPTION:
The Knin area runs seven rivers and streams, river Krka, its tributaries Butižnica (Brzica), Orašnica, Kosovčica Krčić and Butižnica tributaries; Radljevac and Marčinkovac. The main source of the Krka river is located in a cave beneath the limestone barriers Topoljski buk in Knin and is 72.5 kilometers long. It flows down Podinarje, Knin Valley, Promina, Bukovica, Šibenik's hinterland and the coast. Ichthyologicaly the richest Adriatic Basin in terms of number of fish species, Krka is also a first-class natural monument by the number and variety of birds, and is among the most valuable European Bird Areas.
24. Knin Waterfall Krčić
DESCRIPTION:
Krčić is almost a 20 kilometers long river and the first tributary river of Krka. The waterfall is 22 meters high, 30 wide and 21 meters long and has only one cascade. The source of it is in a strong karst springs on the southern slopes of Dinara and its course in places looks like a canyon. Along Krčić passes an old gravel road (Napoleon Road) that connects Knin to Kievo, built just over 200 years ago. 25. Knin Mountain dinara
DESCRIPTION:
Dinara massif is 20 long and 10 kilometers wide, and also the highest Croatian peak (1831m). It is spectacular for it is the longest rock in Croatia, 6km long. It provides number of opportunities for hunting, horseback riding, hiking, mountain climbing, caving, spelunking, hang gliding, paragliding, cycling and car field trips, excursions, natural and adventure tourism. The climb to Dinara request more mountaineering experience, although the access roads from several directions are indicated. Accommodation is provided in a mountain house in Brezovac and hunters house.
